Packaging - Our packing and storage facilities use the most up-to-date technologies to assure a consistent high-quality finished product, including a recent upgrade to a state-of-the-art Compac packing line, enabling us the ability to detect any internal defects and allow us to supply the highest quality apple for the consumer.  We offer many packs and sizes to meet all our customers’ needs that include trays of 56 to 175 counts, polybags range from 3 to 10 pound, tote bags, and clam shell packs.  We offer the opportunity for private label packing in addition to our own brand, Apples from New York.

 

 

Primus GFS - PrimusGFS is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized audit Certification Program, with certification in 22 countries. Endorsed by more than 7,326 organizations, PrimusGFS provides total produce supply chain coverage

 

 

 

 

 

USDA Harmonized GAP – The US Department of Agrriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) offers several different types of voluntary GAP audits to suppliers throughout the production and supply chain that focus on best agricultural practices to verify that fruits and vegetables are produced, packed, handled and stored in the safest manner possible to minimize risks of food safety hazards.

NYS Grown & Certified - New York State Grown & Certified program assures consumers that the food they are buying is local and produced to a higher standard by requiring participating producers to adopt food safety standards and enroll in an environmental management program. Since the program began, New York State Grown & Certified has grown and evolved to cover 20 agricultural commodities and processing industries. This voluntary program is a cooperative effort among producers, processors, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, and the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets to meet consumer demand for high-quality food and agricultural products.

NY Apple Association - Apples from NY New York is home to over 600 apple growers and 55,000 acres of delicious apples. Cornell University and Cooperative Extension Lake Ontario Fruit Program - We partner with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wayne, Orleans, Niagara, Monroe, and Oswego Counties, Cornell University Cooperative Extension and faculty to provide educational programs for the commercial fruit industry, using research-based information to help the tree fruit and berry industries in New York compete in the world market and provide safe, high-quality produce for consumers.
